10.2 Detection module and conveyor

Workpieces are fed onto the conveyor either manually or from an upstream station.
The workpiece is detected at the start of the conveyor by a diffuse sensor and conveyed through the
Detection module.
The color of the workpieces is detected during the feed process by a combination of three sensor signals.
•
A black workpiece is detected if the light barrier indicates a rising edge and the diffuse sensor does not
react.
•
A red workpiece is detected if the light barrier indicates a rising edge and the diffuse sensor indicates a
rising edge.
•
A silver workpiece is detected if the inductive proximity sensor indicates a rising edge.
•
A transparent workpiece is detected if the light barrier indicates two rising edges.
