VEHICLE CONFIGURATION
OPTIONAL DEFAULT LOCK (Fig. 38)
The locked default option is to be utilized only in particular cases
when the vehicle is malfunctioning.
Please refer to our technical support to use this option.
DEFAULT LOCKED VALUE (Fig. 39)
This is the number of steps at which the default is locked.
This function is displayed only if the "DEFAULT LOCKED VALUE" is
enabled.
DRIVING STYLE (Fig. 40)
It is possible to select two different carburetion strategies:
NORMAL
The GALILEO manages the carburetion so that the correct air-fuel
ratio (stoichiometric ratio) is always maintained.
ECONOMY
By entering this function, the GALILEO manages the carburetion in
order to save fuel when the speed is constant and maximum power is
not required.
If those conditions do not occur, the economy function has NO EFFECT
on fuel savings. This is in order not to alter the vehicle's drivability.
IDLE TPS HYSTERESIS (Fig. 41)
On many new vehicles the idle control is achieved by a small electric
motor that is acting directly on the throttle. This continuous change
in the position of the butterfly causes a change in the output of the
T.P.S. that may adversely affect the GALILEO, which could interpret
this variation as an out-of-idle condition.
The idle T.P.S. hysteresis is a voltage which, when summed to the
value of the idle voltage, increases total voltage thus making the idle
less sensitive to these small variations.
ERASE MEMORY (Fig. 42 - 43)
When the "OK" key is pressed on this function, all previously entered
parameters are erased from memory and the GALILEO is brought
back to the original base configuration.
If this function has been selected in error, press the "ESC" key in
order to go back to the "MAIN MENU" without changing any parameter.
