ORIGINAL INDICATOR

ORIGINAL INDICATOR (Fig. 65)
NOTE: this option is activated only in the E.C.U. model
AEB175OI.
If a LEONARDO model AEB175OI is installed, it is possible to pilot, by
means of the A.E.B. E.C.U., the PETROL level indicator.
When the fuel selector switch is on GAS position the fuel level
indicator shows the amount of L.P.G. or C.N.G. present in the tank.
This occurs both in key-on-engine-off mode and when, right after
engine startup, the LEONARDO has not yet automatically switched to
GAS operation.
When the fuel selector switch is on PETROL position, the indicator
shows the level of PETROL in the tank.
To obtain a correct fuel level indication, it is first of all necessary to
enter the type of sensor used for either C.N.G. or L.P.G..
Second, go to the "ORIGINAL INDICATOR" option and enter the
reference value for the various positions of the indicator needle.
Adjustment of the fuel level indicator
Put the fuel selector switch on GAS position. Turn the ignition key on.
By using the tester, go to "ORIGINAL INDICATOR" and change the
reference value so that the fuel level indicator needle shows the
correct position relative to the selected reference. The needle of the
fuel level indicator moves only when entering the change value mode.
EXAMPLE: go to "VALUE FOR EMPTY TANK" (Fig. 66) and press the
"OK" key on the tester to enter the change value mode (Fig. 67).
If the fuel level indicator needle does not show empty it is necessary
to increase or decrease the value that is displayed until the needle is
in the correct position (Fig. 68).
The references to enter are:
EMPTY INDICATION: enter a value to bring the needle to the empty
position.
LOW FUEL REFERENCE: enter a value to bring the needle to the
low fuel position.
1/4 REFERENCE: enter a value to bring the needle to the 1/4 full
position.
2/4 REFERENCE: enter a value to bring the needle to the 2/4 full
position.
3/4 REFERENCE: enter a value to bring the needle to the 3/4 full
position.
FULL INDICATION: enter a value to bring the needle to the full
position.
WARNING: depending on the characteristics of each indicator,
the needle may move more or less quickly. After changing the
reference values, it is necessary to wait long enough for the
needle to reach its new position.
