DIAGNOSIS

DIAGNOSIS
During GAS operation, the LEONARDO E.C.U. has the ability to constantly monitor the operation of the
Oxygen Sensor and to indicate possible malfunctions.
When an Oxygen Sensor error is read, the YELLOW led of the fuel switch flashes slowly for as long as the
ignition key is turned on.
NOTE: THE DIAGNOSTIC MODE IS DISABLED BY DEFAULT.
The errors that are displayed are:
O2 SENSOR INOPERATIVE (Fig. 60)
The E.C.U. reads "cold" O2 sensor signal, that is, a signal that is
steadily at about 0,45 V for too long.
OXYGEN SENSOR LEAN FOR TOO LONG
The E.C.U. reads an O2 sensor that is steady on lean for too long.
When a diagnosis is enabled (Fig. 61) the diagnosis status is
displayed as well:
- OK indicates that normal function has been read;
- ERROR indicates that a malfunction has been read (Fig. 62).
If one or more diagnoses are not enabled, the E.C.U. does not
indicate the corresponding error(s).
OXYGEN SENSOR RICH FOR TOO LONG
The E.C.U. reads an O2 sensor that is steady on rich for too long.
BRING ERRORS TO ZERO (Fig. 63)
Pressing the "OK" key from this option zeros all errors that have been
previously memorised.
When the E.C.U. has completed the zeroing process, the verbiage as
in fig. 64 appears.
If the zeroing of an error is performed with the ignition key on, the
YELLOW led on the fuel switch continues to flash until the ignition
key has been turned off.
