3.3 Compatibility

IMEON Smart Inverter is designed to manage the continuous power of three different sources of
energy: solar panels, the batteries, and the grid.
IMEON uses the maximum power point technology (MPPT) to optimize the maximum quantity of
energy supplied by the solar panels. When the solar panels' MPPT input is between 380 Vdc and 750
Vdc, the IMEON Smart Inverter can inject power to the utility and charge batteries simultaneously.
IMEON smart inverters are only compatible with mono-crystalline and poly-crystalline PV modules.
Concerning thin films panels, it is necessary to check their compatibility with transformerless inverters
and follow the PV manufacturer recommendation as well as IMEON's specification.
Some precautions must be realized to make sure that the maximum open circuit voltage never
exceeds 850 volts. Please note that the maximum voltage will occur in the lowest temperature
planned. You will find detailed information about the influence of the temperature in the manufacturer
datasheet of the PV modules.
IMEON is compatible with lead and lithium batteries. Please consult the IMEON website (as well as
your IMEON distributor) to know the list of the lithium batteries supported.

3.4 Standard devices

The inverter contains the following standard devices:
1 – LCD Screen displaying the performance data.
2 –To prevent electric risk, a measure device is used to watch the difference of current between Live
(L1, L2 and L3) and Neutral (N). When the difference is bigger than the indicated value in the
section "specification", the inverter will disconnect from the utility grid.
