12.4 Steam clean
The Steam Clean mode uses steam to help dissolve food
residue and spills in the oven so that they can be easily
wiped up.
¡ Steam cleaning includes a cleaning phase and a rinse
cycle.
¡ Steam cleaning requires a total time of 30 – 35 minutes.
¡ Steam cleaning requires 2 start/stop cycles to complete
its operation. Once started, the Steam Clean mode
cannot be aborted. The appliance will not operate again
until after the rinse cycle to ensure that no cleaning
agent remains inside.
¡ You can start Steam Clean only when the oven is set to
OFF and is completely cooled down.
Cleaning phase
Cycle 1, approximately 30 minutes.
Let the oven cool down and remove any accessories.

Clean the evaporator dish with a cleaning sponge.

Fill the water tank to MAX and insert it into the appli-

Add a drop of dishwashing liquid to the evaporator dish.

Shut the oven door.
5.
Press Settings.
6.
Navigate to Steam Clean.
7.
Press Enter.
8.
Press the soft key under yes to begin steam cleaning.

If the door is opened while the mode is running and
remains open
– for less than 30 seconds: The cleaning mode pauses
and the oven timer countdown suspends. When the
door is closed, the Steam Clean cycle and oven
timer will resume.
– for more than 30 seconds: The Steam Clean cycle
needs to be restarted.
a At the end of the cleaning phase, the countdown sus-
pends and an alarm sounds.
a The display prompts you to refill the water tank. DO
NOT press Enter at this point.
Rinse phase
Cycle 2, approximately 20 seconds.
Refill the water tank and slide it back in.

pleted if the water tank is refilled.

12.5 Descaling
Unless you use softened water, you will need to descale
the steam oven at regular intervals.
¡ The steam oven control counts the number of hours of
operation. The display prompts you to descale the
steam oven after a certain number of hours has been
exceeded. Press Enter to skip the message. The
descaling interval depends on the water hardness level
you have set in the basic settings.

¡ Descaling includes a descaling phase and a rinse cycle.
¡ Descaling requires a total time of 30 – 35 minutes.
¡ Descaling requires 2 start/stop cycles to complete its
operation. Once started, the Descale mode cannot be
aborted. The appliance will not operate again until after
the rinse cycle to ensure that no cleaning agent remains
inside.
¡ You can start Descale only when the oven is in stand-
by and is completely cooled down.
¡ Use only the descaling powder recommended for this
oven.
