7.8 Opening the oven door during a steam
mode
CAUTION
Exercise caution when opening the appliance. Standing to
the side, open the door slowly and only slightly to let hot
air and/or steam escape.
Keep your face clear of the opening and make sure

there are no children or pets near the unit.
After the hot air and/or steam is released, proceed with

your cooking.
Keep the appliance door shut unless necessary for

cooking or cleaning purposes.
Do not leave the open appliance door unattended.

Carefully open the oven door.

a The cooling fan cycles on and off five to six times in
succession to purge the excess steam.
a If the convection fan is running, it will shut off automati-
cally.
a The display prompts you to shut the door.
Close the oven door.

a The oven resumes operation.
7.9 Turning the panel lock on or off
With the panel lock you can disable all touch keys on the
control panel.
Requirement: The oven is in standby mode.
Press and hold Panel Lock for 3 seconds.

Your appliance has various time setting functions.
Timer functions
8.1 Kitchen timer
The kitchen timer is a countdown timer that has no affect
on oven heating.
You can set a kitchen timer value up to 99:59 hours.

Setting the kitchen timer
You can set the kitchen timer from stand-by state, or while
a heating mode is running.
Press Clock/Timer.

Enter the desired timer value in the format HH:MM us-

cally once this time has elapsed.

You can set an oven timer before or after you set a heat-

¡ The maximum oven timer value is 11 hours and 59 min-
utes.
¡ The oven timer is not available for the automatic pro-
grams Chicken or Vegetables.
