your smartphone/tablet and
load the commissioning
and maintenance instruc-
tions onto your PC system/
notebook. Alternatively, go
to www.maico-ventilator-
en.com, visit the download
area and download the
software.
4.4 Connecting PC system/notebook to
ventilation unit

1. Tilt front plate forwards at the two top corners
(magnets [M]) and remove from above
2. Remove protective cap [B] and connect
PC/notebook with ventilation unit via USB
port.
3. Switch on ventilation unit with main
switch [A].

Danger from electric shock.
Before removing the front cover, disconnect
the ventilation unit at all poles from the power
supply, secure against being accidentally
switched back on and position a visible
warning sign.
NOTICE
Danger of short-circuits/damage to unit
should water enter the electronics compart-
ment.
Ensure a correct, sealed line feedthrough th-
rough the membrane grommet with slot [T].
Variant 1: WS 170 without USB connection
routed to the outside
1. Switch off ventilation unit, disconnect at all
poles from the power supply and position
a visible warning sign.
2. Loosen the two quick-release locks and
remove the front cover from above.
3. Release and pull out electronic compart-
ment.

4. Guide USB cable into ventilation unit
through membrane grommet with slot [T].
5. Connect PC/notebook with ventilation unit
via USB port.
6. Slide electronic compartment back in and
secure with the two screws.
7. Fit front cover and secure with the
quick-release locks.
8. Activate fuse and switch on ventilation unit
with main switch [S].
