Brine earth heat exchanger, zone ventilation,
3-way air shutter or supplementary heating.
9.1 Brine earth heat exchanger control
The outside air can be heated in the winter
and cooled in the summer with a brine earth
heat exchanger.
No extra temperature sensor is needed to
control the brine circulating pump (controlled
or uncontrolled brine CP). This is handled by
the air inlet temperature sensor in the ventila-
tion unit.
If heating, the brine CP is controlled using
the unit-specific frost protection strategy
Chapter 8.4. For more information
Chapter 6.8.
9.2 Zone ventilation
Zone ventilation setting Chapter 6.9.
Units with zone ventilation can feed different
amounts of the volumetric air flow provided
into 2 room zones. For example, into zone 1
(living areas) and zone 2 (bedrooms).
● The volumetric flow of one zone can be
reduced by up to 60 %.
● Zone ventilation is only active in the nominal
ventilation level. It is deactivated in the other
ventilation levels or if the bypass is open.
Zones 1 and 2 are set in Auto Time operating
mode using a time programme. 4 time seg-
ments can be saved per day with supply air
volumes defined for zones 1 and 2 Chap-
ter 6.4.
