12.4 Cleaning condensate drain and

Fill the siphon up with water after long

1. Switch off ventilation unit with main switch,
disconnect at all poles from the power
supply, secure against being accidentally
switched back on and position a visible
warning sign.
2. Loosen the two quick-release locks and
remove the front cover. Note information
on sticker.
3. Remove deposits from condensate drain
area and flush drain pipe. The siphon must
be filled with water so that the ventilation
unit does not draw in false air.
4. Attach front cover and secure with both
quick-release clips.
5. Switch on the ventilation unit.

12.5 Cleaning heat exchanger and unit
on inside – every 2 years –

1. Switch off ventilation unit with main switch
and/or disconnect at all poles from the
power supply, secure against being acci-
dentally switched back on and position a
visible warning sign.

2. Open ventilation unit.
Note information on sticker.
NOTICE
The sealing strip will be damaged if the
heat exchanger is pulled out or inserted at
an angle. Do not twist heat exchanger.
Do not move the ventilation unit.
3. Pull heat exchanger carefully and evenly
out of ventilation unit.
NOTICE
If dampened, a sensitive heat exchanger
will be damaged.
Do not clean a sensitive heat exchanger with
water or other liquids.
4. Vacuum sensitive heat exchangers with
a standard vacuum cleaner.
Thoroughly flush enthalpy heat exchan-
gers with water or soapy water, drip off
and let them dry well.
5. Wipe down the inner walls of the ventila-
tion unit with a cleaning cloth.
6. Carefully slide heat exchanger into housing
until stop is reached  position sticker.
7. Secure front cover.
8. Switch on the ventilation unit.
