Replacing the Fuses

IMPROPER INSTALLATION BY AN UNQUALIFIED
INSTALLER
Installer must have knowledge and experience in installing
electrical equipment, knowledge of the applicable installation
codes, and awareness of the hazards involved in performing
electrical work and how to reduce those hazards.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment
damage.
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Disconnect all AC and DC sources to the charger and wait
n
five minutes for internal voltage and energy levels to reduce
to safe levels.
Only replace fuses with the same type, ratings, and
n
certifications.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious
injury.

NOTICE
DANGER
To replace the fuses:
1. Remove the charger's wiring compartment panel cover (see
illustration on page 24).
2. Pull out the blown fuse(s) gently, using a fuse puller, if
available.
3. Install a brand new fuse(s) with same type and rating as the
old one. See Fuse location on page 66.
4. Replace the wiring compartment panel cover.
5. Replace the charger's wiring compartment cover ((see
illustration on page 30).
6. Reconnect all AC and DC sources to the charger.
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Replace the wiring compartment cover before turning on
n
power to this equipment.
Use a torque screwdriver to tighten both the captive nut
n
panel screws to 5 in-lb (0.56 N-m) torque to ensure a
required tool access to the wiring compartment.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious
injury, or equipment damage.
