NOTE: PLC or parasitic load compensation is a
new feature designed to meet the heavy duty
requirements of emergency vehicles. Most
emergency vehicles have parasitic loads on
their systems such as, flash lights, gas
detectors, computers, monitoring systems, etc,
that can trick a standard 3-stage charger into
overcharging batteries. PLC allows you to set
the top current the parasitic loads need on the
vehicle. When the top current is reached, the
charger shall go from absorption to float
rendering the parasitic loads from overcharging
or overheating the battery.
