Installation Sequence

To make charger installation quick and easy, perform the
installation tasks in the following sequence:

Step 1: Mounting the Battery Charger
Mount the Auto Charge using all four mounting keyholes of the
mounting brackets. Mounting keyholes are either internal or
external. The internal keyholes are hidden behind the unit and the
external keyholes are exposed. For a quick look at possible
mounting bracket patterns that can be used, see Mounting
Bracket Patterns on page 23.
Unit mounting orientations shown on page 14 meet IP32 and drip-
proof requirements that are needed to ensure safety in the
presence of condensation. Other possible mounting orientations
will not prevent the entry of dripping water and are not suitable for
use in moist environments.
To mount the Auto Charge:
1. Select a mounting surface that is flat and even (see
Location on page 14).
2. Decide which mounting bracket pattern to use and re-
position the brackets accordingly. Note that the mounting
brackets are pre-installed using mounting bracket patterns
A and B.
3. If using two internal keyholes and the two external keyholes
of the brackets (mounting bracket patterns A and D), mark
and drill the two pilot holes for the mounting screws, taking
care that there is nothing behind the surface that can be
damaged by the drill.
If using all external keyholes of the brackets (mounting
bracket patterns B and C), mark and drill the four pilot holes
for the mounting screws.
