The electric multi-point lock 809N offers

· intrusion resistance with solid, hardened deadbolt,
· 20 mm bolt throw,
· intrusion resistance up to Resistance Class 2 can be achieved in suitable door systems,
· Escape door function in accordance with DIN EN 179 possible,
· Panic door function in accordance with DIN EN 1125 possible,
· reversible panic side („Changing the panic side", page 60),
· reversible between fail-locked / fail-unlocked operation („Explanation of terms", page 48),
· suitable for fire doors (proof by fire testing in accordance with DIN EN 1634-1),

Escape door function/emergency exit and panic door locks
In general: A door with escape door function can always be opened with the door handle from the inside,
even if it is locked.
Escape doors are equipped with
· Emergency exit locks in accordance with DIN EN 179
· Panic door locks in accordance with DIN EN 1125
Panic doors are subject to somewhat more stringent requirements than emergency exit doors. Panic door
locks in accordance with DIN EN 1125 are equipped with a panic push bar or panic touch bar (panic bar)
across the width of the door leaf. Emergency exit door locks in accordance with DIN EN 179 are equipped
with a door handle.
