Product versions

B-function (changeover function)

All 309 security locks are equipped with B-function (changeover function)
Door handles are permanently engaged or disengaged via the locking cylinder with locks with B-function.
With security lock 309 with escape door function, only the outer door handle is permanently engaged or
disengaged. The inner door handle always remains engaged (remains active).
With security lock 309 without escape door function (special version), both door handles (inside and
outside) are simultaneously permanently engaged or disengaged.
Security lock 309 with escape door function offers
· Approval for emergency exits according to DIN EN 179,
· Split handle follower / split spindle,
· Mechanical engaging and disengaging of outer door handle via locking cylinder actuation.

Security lock 309 without escape door function (special version) offers

· Continuous handle follower / continuous spindle.
· Simultaneous mechanical engaging and disengaging of inner and outer door handle via locking cylinder
actuation.
Inner and outer door handles are always simultaneously engaged or disengaged because of the non-split
handle follower.

DIN right hand and DIN left hand

There are four lock types depending on the swing direction of the door (DIN left hand or DIN right hand,
Pic. 2) and mechanically engaging and disengaging door handles. The lock types are identified by the 15th
position of their type number with the letter C, D, E or F.
According to building code provisions, lock types D and F are suitable for escape doors in accordance with
DIN EN 179; types C and E are not suitable for this purpose.
