In Pic. 9 the dimensions for a customer-provided striking plate for the security lock 309 are shown.

Extension control latch blocks the closed door: With the production of striking plates, it must be
ensured that the control latch never extends with a closed door. Then the door cannot be opened. The
control latch is not intended for closing and locking and therefore cannot be retracted either.
With customer-provided striking plate, the following specifications must be observed.
· The dimensions indicated in Pic. 9 must be observed.
· The latch and control latch must be pushed back by the same impact edge,
· the latch and control latch must be able to slide back unimpeded to the locking position via a continu-
ous, completely level surface (without holes, depressions, etc.),
· the thresholds for the rebate gap must be observed.
