Preparation for mounting

1 Cut out the lock pocket according to Fig. 6 to Fig. 8. Observe the cutting
dimensions indicated next to the figure.
2 Finish the holes for the fixing screws (Fig. 6 to Fig. 8).
3 Finish the holes for the lock fittings.
4 Clean the lock pocket and all holes by blowing them out or vacuuming.
 The lock pocket is now ready for the lock assembly.

Installing the lock

5 Adjust the closing direction of the latch
("Adjust the closing direction", page 41).
6 Insert the lock into the lock pocket and fasten it to the face plate.
7 Insert the profile cylinder and fasten it using the cylinder fixing screw.
8 Fasten the lock fittings.
9 Check the lock for ease of movement.
 Once the striking plate is mounted, the lock is ready for use.

Mounting the striking plate

1 Cut out the striking plate pocket.
2 Finish the holes for the fixing screws.
3 Clean the striking plate pocket and all holes by blowing them out or vacuum-
ing.
4 Fasten the striking plate.
5 Test all functions of the lock and the door. Make sure that the appropriate
rebate gap is adjusted (Fig. 3, "Technical data", page 46). The lock must
operate consistently smoothly for all functions. Latch and bolt must move
easily when closing. An inconsistent or sluggish movement of the bolt can
indicate a mounting error or distorted installation of the lock.
 The lock is ready for use.
