Intended use

The standard commercial mortice lock is suitable for use in doors with no special
security function.

Warning!
Life-threatening danger from mortice locks in escape route doors: The lock is
not suitable for emergency exit door locks with panic lock function or for doors in
escape routes.
The standard commercial mortice lock has been developed, designed and
produced for use in high-traffic doors and use by people who are encouraged to
take care, but in places where misuse is likely to a certain extent, such as on office
doors. It is not permitted for use in fire doors.
The standard commercial fire door mortice lock is suitable for use in fire doors, e.g.
in public buildings. The doors are tested and approved separately by door
manufacturers.
Only suitable accessories may be used ("Accessories, maintenance, warranty,
disposal", page 49). ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH recommends the use
of the accessories offered in this manual.
The lock is suitable for installation according to the installation instructions and
use according to the functional description.
It is not intended for any other type of use.
