di seguito è riportata la procedura da adottare
qualora si dovesse accorciare il cardano.
1) Posizionare la macchina nella posizione di mini-
ma distanza dal trattore, bloccare e spegnere il
trattore levando le chiavi dal cruscotto.
2) Separare le due metà del cardano, inserire la par-
te femmina nella presa di forza del trattore e la
parte maschio alla presa di forza della macchina,
verificandone la corretta posizione utilizzando le
spine di ancoraggio.
3) Affiancare le due metà del cardano mantenendole
parallele (Fig. 1).
4) Segnare dove accorciare i due semi albero, misu-
rando 25 mm dall'inizio di ogni semi albero come
da (Fig. 1).
5) Procedere al taglio della protezione (A) e usare
lo spezzone (B) come riferimento per il taglio del
albero scanalato (c).
6) Procedere allo stesso modo anche sul secondo
semi albero.
7) Prima di rimontare l'albero procedere alla pulizia
delle due estremità sbavando e smussando i due
alberi scanalati e pulendo l'albero da eventuali tru-
cioli o limature.
8) Ricongiungere i due semi alberi.
9) Montare l'albero cardanico verificandone l'esatta
misura di funzionamento come dal paragrafo pre-
cedente.

The procedure for shortening the cardan shaft is
described below:
1) Place the machine at a minimum distance from
the tractor, block the tractor and switch it off, ta-
king the key out of the dashboard.
2) Separate the two halves of the shaft, insert the
female part in the PTO of the tractor and the male
part in the PTO of the machine, ensuring the cor-
rect position, using the fixing pins.
3) bring the two halves of the shaft parallel to each
other (Fig. 1).
4) Mark the point at which the two halves of the shaft
are to be shortened, measuring 25 mm from the
starting point of each half as shown in (Fig. 1).
5) Cut the cover (A) and use the section (B) as refe-
rence for cutting the grooved shaft (c).
6) Proceed in the same manner for the second half
of the shaft.
7) Before refitting the shaft, clean the two ends by
de-burring and bevelling the two grooved shafts
and cleaning the shaft to remove chips or trim-
mings.
8) Join the two halves of the shaft.
9) Fit the cardan shaft checking to ensure the exact
operating size as described in the preceding para-
graph.
