uk │ 6. Installation
● Make a service opening in your duct
system.
● Make sure you use appropriate insulation,
sound-absorbing and installation material
such as suitable tubular sound absorbers,
RSR 12/50, supply air and exhaust valves,
overflow openings, etc.
● Insulate the outside and outgoing air ducts
to prevent vapour diffusion for energy-
usage reasons and to prevent condensate
build up.
● Should condensate form in the outside air
or outgoing air line, a condensate drain is
needed.
● If installed in a cold place, supply air and
exhaust air lines should be insulated.
● Additional insulation material should be
used to insulate fixing cuffs. This prevents
the build up of condensate.
● Insulate the outside and outgoing air wall
feed throughs, in order to exclude the
possibility of a build-up of condensate.
● Make sure that there can be no build-up of
surface condensate with roof outlets.
Insulate the ventilation ducts with roof
outlets.
● In order to avoid any smells, there should
be sufficient space between the outside air
inlet for the ventilation unit and the sewe-
rage vent on the roof.
● Avoid the outgoing air and outside air
mixing.
● Select the position for the supply air valve
so that contamination and draughts are
avoided.

6.2.2 Mounting the wall bracket
Use the special wall bracket provided for wall
mounting.
Danger of injury if installed
on a wall that is too weak.
WARNING
Only install the ventilation unit
on a wall with sufficient load-
bearing capacity (with at least
200 kg/m³).
Track [21] is fitted to the ventilation unit in the
factory.
1. Fix the wall bracket (22) to the wall with
suitable mounting material, which is to be
supplied by the customer. Make sure it is
horizontal.
2. Fit the ventilation unit in the wall bracket
[22] (for weight  technical data in
Chapter 10). Make sure that the holding
plate and the rail line up completely and
that the ventilation unit is lying against the
wall with both bottom spacers.
