For all public connection points, the short-circuit output S
interface between the electrical installation of the user and the power
supply must be greater than or equal to the values listed in the table.
It is the responsibility of the installer or user, if necessary with the
assistance of the power operator, to ensure that these pumps are
operated properly. During industrial use in a plant-specific, medium-
voltage outlet, the corresponding company is solely responsible for
the connection conditions.

The installation of an appropriate harmonic filter between the pump
and the mains power supply reduces the level of harmonic current.
• The electrical connection must be made using a permanently installed
mains connection line (see following table for cross-section) with a
plug-and-socket connection or an all-pole switch with a contact
opening width of at least 3 mm.
NOTICE:
If flexible cables are used, e.g. mains connection cable or communica-
tion cable, ferrules must be used.
• The power cable is to be fed through the M40 threaded cable gland

(Fig. 22, Item 1).

NOTICE:
See table 10 "Screw tightening torques" on page 119 for the correct
tightening torques for the terminal screws. Use only a calibrated
torque wrench.
• In order to comply with electromagnetic compatibility standards,
the following cables must always be shielded:
• Differential pressure sensor (DDG) (if installed on-site)
• In2 (setpoint)
• Twin-head pumps (DP) communication (for cable lengths > 1 m);
("MP" terminal)
Observe the polarity:
MA = L => SL = L
MA = H => SL = H

The shield must be applied to both sides: on the EMC cable clips in the
electronic module and on the other end. The lines for SBM and SSM do
not have to be shielded.
