Safe operation
The following safety warnings inform the user of possible risks that could occur during the operation of the boat
and provide instructions for safe navigation.
In any case, ULTRAFLEX is not to be held responsible for material or physical damages resulting from a failure to
comply with these instructions.
WARNING
Before installation, read and understand the contents of this instruction manual and any other documentation
supplied with your boat.
It is recommended to keep a copy of this manual on the boat for immediate reference in case this should become
necessary.
DANGER
In any case, do not modify the steering cylinder to adapt it to your application: the cylinder will not operate safely
and will endanger the boat (causing possible collisions and tilting) and its occupants (causing personal injury
resulting in death).
WARNING
All ULTRAFLEX steering systems must not be installed on boats equipped with engines whose maximum horsepower
is higher than the horsepower rating approved by boat manufacturer.
WARNING
Installations on racing and/or work boats are not permitted for INTEGRA steering systems.
DANGER
In order not to compromise the integrity of the product, it is forbidden to disassemble components that are sup-
plied pre-assembled.
WARNING
The boat must be used EXCLUSIVELY by users who are familiar with its features and controls. All persons on
board must wear personal protective equipment approved by the local Maritime Authority.
DANGER
The boat must NEVER be operated by persons under the effects of alcohol or drugs.
WARNING
After use, the boat components must be cleaned with clean fresh water at low pressure.
The use of lances or pressure washing equipment or cleaning agents containing acetone, ammonia, acids or other
corrosive substances is not permitted.
In particular, the components should not be allowed to come into contact with certain detergents specifically
designed for cleaning fibreglass hulls as these may corrode stainless steel components.
