With the HEADING and MAINSTAY functions, it is possible to change the direction of the boat's
selected bow without disabling the entered function using the TRIM buttons.
The system will correct the selected bow direction by one degree (1°) each time the TRIM UP
button (+1°) or the TRIM DOWN button (-1°) is pressed. The display will show the updated
references.
Keeping the TRIM UP button or the TRIM DOWN button pressed will continue to change the
angle by 1° for every second the button is held down.
After 5 seconds, the system will correct the bow by five degrees (5°) every second up to a
maximum of 50°.
By adjusting the value of the ANCHOR RESPONSIVENESS parameter (see par. 2.1), appropriately for marine
weather conditions, the system should be able to maintain good position and/or compass angle accuracy.
An increase in the distance of the boat from the set posi tion (DISTANCE) and/or of the bow direction from the se-
lected one (YELLOW CURSOR) may be due to an insufficient or unsuitable ANCHOR RESPONSIVENESS parameter
value setting to counteract the marine weather conditions. If the above-mentioned values continue to increase
even after setting the maximum efficiency value of the ANCHOR RESPONSIVENESS parameter, it means that the
marine weather conditions are not suitable for using the electronic anchor functions.
WARNING
If the DISTANCE value (F) exceeds 30 meters or the bow angle deviates from the target heading by more than 90°,
a warning will be shown on the display (see par. 2.4) and the set electronic anchor function will be automatically
deactivated thus restoring the control of the boat by means of the joystick.
WARNING
If the quality of the GPS signal is not good enough to maintain the accuracy of the system, the coordinates on the
display will flash and a warning will be displayed (see par. 2.4). The set electronic anchor function will automat-
ically turn off and cannot be turned back on until the GPS signal is of good quality.
