Preparations for simple and safe installation
Remove all parts from the packaging and spread them out
on the floor in front of you in an organised arrangement.

Different procedures are used when installing the iMC on a
classic chassis, tandem chassis and Vario single-axle chassis.
The instructions for the variants are given in chapter 4.
For your guidance, we have used the following symbols for
identifying the different variants:
Classic chassis
Tandem T4 chassis
Tandem T2 light chassis
Vario single-axle chassis
The subsequent installation (installation of the mechanical
and electrical systems) is the same for all models, just as are
the procedures for taking into service and operating. We
recommend that the work should be carried out by two
people.
Bring your caravan or trailer to a comfortable working
height. Preferably, a lifting platform or an inspection pit
should be used for this. If you use a jack, make sure that the
caravan or trailer is secured using suitable blocks.
!
Take particular care when installing the
iMC. No parts of the chassis, the axle
suspension or the braking system are
allowed to be removed, modified or
impaired under any circumstances.
Working under the trailer without taking
measures to support and secure the
equipment represents a risk of fatal injury!
If it is a legal requirement in your country,
have all modifications to the chassis
inspected by a competent authority!
Installing the iMC can reduce the ground
clearance. Therefore, please note the
reduced ground clearance when driving
and manoeuvring! 80 mm minimum
ground clearance is required, 120 mm
ground clearance is recommended.
Do not operate the iMC if there are any
malfunctions! Have the device checked in
an authorised specialist workshop.
Before manoeuvring, it is essential to check
whether the drive rollers are located on the
tyres. The manoeuvring procedure is only
allowed to be performed in this position!
Manoeuvring the caravan/trailer using a
towing vehicle at the same time as having
iMC active can result in serious damage.

Before moving the drive rollers away, secure
the trailer to prevent it from rolling away!
In addition, before starting your journey,
check whether the drive rollers are located
in the rear position. (Fig. A3.4)
We do not accept any liability for damage
caused by failure to comply with these
instructions. We reserve the right to make
changes and correct mistakes.
