Placing in service and operation

6. Placing in service and operation

Switching on the system

The two drive units must be decoupled
from the trailer's tyres. Only then is the
master switch allowed to be turned on.
Switching on the iMC
Give the I/0 key on the remote control
a double press to switch on the iMC.
The LED in the key lights up red.
Press the keys on the remote control to check if the iMC is
functioning. If the remote control is not used for more than
20 seconds, it switches itself off.
It is recommended for the system to be switched off at the
master switch if the trailer is going to be parked for a long
period without the iMC being used (more than two weeks).
The iMC is allowed to be left in standby mode for up to
two weeks.
!
!
Each time before driving, switch off the master switch and the remote control
of the iMC so that there is no possibility of the rollers being moved into
position inadvertently.
Move the caravan or the trailer outdoors. It is recommended that you choose a
wide open space with adequate safety clearance from people or objects, until
you have practiced how to use the iMC for manoeuvring.
No-one is allowed to remain in the manoeuvring range of the trailer or
caravan during manoeuvring! Also check the side of the trailer or caravan
opposite to where you are standing.
Maintain an adequate safety clearance during manoeuvring. Also, maintain an ade-
quate clearance from the drive rollers – including during maintenance or cleaning work.
Before moving the drive rollers away, secure the trailer to prevent it from rolling away!
Always switch off the electrical power to the system when working in the area
of the drive rollers. Never swap over the positive (+) and negative (-) cables
of the electrical power supply.
} Caution:
If the drive rollers do not turn, the reset procedure must
be performed on the base control unit or the remote
control must be resynchronised with the receiver unit.
See the annex for instructions.
Swivelling the drive rollers
into position (MotorDrive):
Move the drive rollers against the
tyres using the remote control.
To do this, press both arrow keys at the same time and hold
them until the drive rollers have moved fully into contact.
Once the limit position has been reached, the MotorDrive
switches itself off automatically. The manoeuvring
procedure is only allowed to be performed in this position!
Only then is the parking brake of the caravan or trailer is
allowed to be released.
