Electrical connection

Installing and connecting the cable
The connecting cable must be guided in the door leaf from the lock side to the hinge side. Then the cable
must be routed from the door leaf into the door frame.
1
Observe the following when routing the connecting cable:
· We recommend routing the cable within the door leaf in a suitable conduit having a minimum
diameter of 7 mm.
· Do not kink the conduit and make any necessary bends as wide as possible.
· In order to avoid damaging the cable, it may only be guided around rounded corners.
· A flexible lead cover must be mounted for the transition from door leaf to frame, whereby the cover
is firmly connected to the door leaf and frame (chapter "Flexible lead cover", page 71).
2
Connect the cable to the motorised multi-point lock 519N as specified in the connection diagram and
according to the connection diagrams of the control system. There are two basic options:
· Connection without additional OneSystem IO module N5950
("Connection (without OneSystem IO module N5950)", page 62).
· Electrical connection to the OneSystem IO module N5950
(separate manual D00852 DE EN FR or D00853 DE IT NL),
3
Ensure that the mains adapter matches the motorised multi-point lock 519N ("", page 67). Factor in
the voltage loss over the connecting cable in order to ensure that the motorised multi-point lock 519N
functions safely.
The lock is supplied with energy via the mains adapter. Actuation takes place via a potential-free contact.

Connection with OneSystem IO module N5950
If the motorised multi-point lock 519N is connected to the optional OneSystem IO module N5950 ("Accesso-
ries", page 70), there many additional options for use and control.
During operation with the IO module N5950, the function of the external control input for unlocking
(Fig. 15) is deactivated ("No reaction to control signal", page 73)
