Life-threatening danger and risk of injury due to damage: A damaged lock is a safety hazard. A damaged
lock may not be installed and used. The lock and package may not be damaged.
Life-threatening danger and risk of injury resulting from incorrect or faulty installation of the horizon-
tal push rod (panic bar) in accordance with DIN EN 1125: The normal installation height for the panic
bar is 900 mm to 1100 mm above the finished floor surface. If children are present in the majority of the
building, the installation high must be reduced accordingly. The horizontal push rod must be installed so
that the greatest possible effective bar length is achieved ("Panic bar in accordance with DIN EN 1125",
page 70).
Life-threatening danger and risk of injury resulting from incorrect installation of door handle fittings
according to with DIN EN 179: Only escutcheons, lock counterparts, and coverings approved according
to DIN EN 179 may be used ("Door fitting in accordance with DIN EN 179", page 70).
Observe the specifications and regulations of inspection authorities: Regulations established by inspec-
tion authorities must be complied with for installation and electrical connection of the motorised multi-
point lock 519N. Specifications of the door manufacturer must also be observed.

Property damage caused by work on the door leaf: The lock must be removed for all work on the door
leaf, such as drilling or cutting.
Functional limitation due to faulty recess of the lock pocket: The lock pocket must be created cor-
responding to the lock pocket dimensions. You must insert the lock without using any force and screw it
into place, so that is not subject to mechanical stress.
Property damage after drilling through the lock: The lock is damaged by drilling. You may only use exist-
ing holes drilled at the factory to attach door fittings. The lock must be removed for any work on the door
leaf, such as drilling or cutting.
Damage from dirt: The lock is damaged by dirt. Prior to installation, the lock pocket and all holes must be
cleaned (by blowing out or vacuuming).
Functional limitation due to distorted installation: The lock must be installed free of torsion.
Functional limitation due to door handles not moving freely: The lock must be fitted in such a way that
the handle spindle and the spindle hub align.
Property damage due to forceful installation of the handle pin into the follower: The door handle
spindle must be gently inserted into the spindle hub. No tools are needed.
