Examples of use

The following examples demonstrate possibilities for using the motorised multi-point lock 519N with the
OneSystem IO module N5950 and the fire protection module 519ZBFS.
Barrier-free doors
When combined with the OneSystem IO module N5950 and a swing door drive, the motorised multi-point
lock 519N offers the possibility of installing a barrier-free door, e.g. for use in a hospital.
Connection version 1 for barrier-free doors
The motorised unlocking of the lock takes place with a release button. The swing door drive control output
is then actuated and the door opens.
The door is closed again with the time-controlled swing door drive, and the mechanical automatic locking
function secures the door.
Connection version 2 for barrier-free doors
The revolving door drive receives the open door command via a release button or radar sensor and sends
an unlock command to the motorized multi-point lock 519N. The lock is unlocked and then sends feedback
to the revolving door drive via the unlocked control output. The revolving door drive opens the door.
The time-controlled revolving door drive closes the door again, the lock is locked automatically.
With connection version 2, day/night operation is also possible, for example, depending on the function of
the revolving door drive. The lock remains unlocked during the day and is locked at night.

Warning!
Life-threatening danger and risk of injury when there is no fire detector: With use of the motorised
multi-point lock 519N in a fire or smoke protection door, the OneSystem IO module N5950, the fire protection
module 519ZBFS and a fire detector approved by inspection authorities must be used.
Life-threatening danger and risk of injury when there is no smoke detector: With use of the motorised
multi-point lock 519N in a smoke protection door, the fire detector must react to smoke.
When combined with the OneSystem IO module N5950 and the fire door module, the motorised multi-point
lock 519 provides secure locking of a fire and smoke protection door. With actuation by means of a fire
alarm system or a fire detector, the alarm is issued and the lock is actuated by means of the OneSystem IO
module N5950.
The fire protection module 519ZBFS supplies the energy needed for locking in the event of a power failure.
If the motorised multipoint lock 519N has been locked by the OneSystem IO module N5950 due to a fire
alarm, unlocking by means of the electric motor is only possible once the fire alarm has been reset.
In the case of a fire door with swing door drive, a fire alarm or a hold-open system with a fire detector
approved by inspection authorities is normally required. This actuates the swing door drive and the
motorised multi-point lock 519N.
