Troubleshooting

Fault
8 Pump fails to start, power switch does not
light up. System becomes vented.
8 Pump not running, power switch on.
8 Pump not running, red LED keeps coming
on.
8 No aspiration at the hand controller, pipette
drips (above causes excluded).
8 Pump switches frequently.
8 Pump is running continuously.
8 Pump is running continuously, all LEDs
indicating the suction power are flashing.
8 Keys do not react.
Possible cause
≥ Not plugged in, or failure of electrical
supply?
≥ Power switched off?
≥ Internal fuse blown?
≥ Motor overloaded?
≥ Red LED glows continuously?
≥ Filter clogged?
≥ Leak at the system?
≥ Adapter or aspiration tube defective?
≥ Filter clogged?
≥ Leak at the bottle head?
≥ Suction hose, pipette or adapter clogged?
≥ Pump operating but no pumping speed?
≥ Aspiration power setting is off (atmosphere,
no vacuum)?
≥ Leak in the system?
≥ Filter clogged?
≥ Diaphragms or valves of the pump defec-
tive?
≥ Leak in the system?
≥ Too high underpressure for altitude /
weather conditions? Vapor pressure of the
media inside the collection bottle too high?
≥ Other causes?
≥ Pressure sensor defective?
≥ Keys of the touch panel touched long-
lasting?
Remedy
1 Plug in, or check fuse controlling power
outlet.
1 Switch on power.
1 Identify cause of failure, replace fuse
(under the cover).
1 Switch off, allow motor to cool, identify
cause of failure and eliminate before
switching on again.
1 Eliminate leaks.
1 Replace filter.
1 Eliminate leaks.
1 Replace adapter with aspiration tube.
1 Replace filter.
1 Check seals, coupling and blind cap. Screw
in or replace if necessary.
1 Remove clog.
1 Perform maintenance, replace diaphragm
and valves if necessary.
1 Set aspiration power to "+" (more vacuum).
1 Check tubing, seals, coupling, and blind
cap. Screw in or replace if necessary.
1 Replace filter.
1 Perform maintenance, replace diaphragm
and valves if necessary.
1 Check tubing, seals, coupling, and blind
cap. Screw in or replace if necessary.
1 Reduce underpressure / aspiration power.
1 Contact your local distributor.
1 Reduce suction power using key "-".
If the error persists, contact your local
distributor.
1 Wait 20 seconds and try again.
