Connection
Connecting to a device equipped
with DVI connector
DVI (Digital Visual Interface) is a standard that outputs digital-
ized image data to digital display devices. Using DVI enables
the display of high quality images without degradation of the
data due to analog conversion.
The DVD-V8000 is equipped with a DVI output connector and
can be connected digitally with display devices equipped with
DVI input connectors. (Complies with DVI 1.0)
Display
When connecting to a device with DVI for the first time, the
DVI connection screen will be displayed. The player will auto-
matically set the resolution to that recommended by the con-
nected DVI device and display the setting information. Set-
tings can be changed manually if desired, and reset data is
stored for up to 5 individual devices even when power is
turned off. For manual setting instructions, refer to the sec-
tion "DVI connections" under Initial Settings (page 48.)
Note
¶ When connecting this player to a DVI device, the mes-
sage [DVI] and the set resolution will appear for a few
seconds in the main unit's display.
