5) Change the angle of the ankle joint to adjust the heel height (see fig. 12).
6.3.3 Erasing the Bluetooth link
In order to connect the prosthetic foot to a new Bluetooth device, the existing link has to be
deleted.
Orthopaedic technicians
► Press the main switch and hold it down until the red LED goes out.
→ The Bluetooth link has been erased, and the prosthetic foot is switched off. The heel height
has been reset to the value that was set during bench alignment (see fig. 3).
User
► Press and hold the selection key for at least 8 seconds (see fig. 4).
→ A beep sounds for 1 second, the LED briefly lights up red. The Bluetooth link has been
erased.
6.3.4 Relief function
CAUTION
Unintentional activation of the relief function
Faulty operation of appliances/machines due to unintentional lowering of the prosthetic foot
Activate the standby mode prior to operating control elements (e.g. vehicle pedals) in a sit­
ting position.
INFORMATION
The range of motion of the relief function is determined by the selection of the amputation level
in the Galileo™ app.
The maximum range of motion is set in TT fittings.
With TF fittings, the relief function is by default only possible in plantar flexion. Dorsiflexion
can be activated in consultation with the patient.
Activation
1) Take the load off the prosthetic foot for at least 2 s.
2) Put a slight load on the prosthetic foot; the sole of the foot lowers to the floor automatically.
Deactivation
► Place a load on the prosthetic foot.
→ The relief function is deactivated, and when moved, the prosthetic foot returns to the most
recently set position.
6.3.5 Locking the ankle joint
The function locks the ankle joint of the prosthetic foot in a defined position (default: 0°). The
activation of the relief function is prevented.
Activation
1) Extend the prosthetic foot forward so that the angle between the sole of the foot and the floor
is at least 30°.
2) Place a load on the forefoot area in this position for at least 2 s (e.g., by pushing against a
wall).
→ 3 short beeps occur. The ankle joint of the prosthetic foot is locked.
Deactivation
► Place the prosthetic foot flat on the floor and place a load on it for at least 1 s.
→ 1 short beep occurs. The ankle joint is unlocked.
