ing leads to an adjustment in plantar flexion in order to increase the energy return of the carbon
spring.
Walking on slopes
With the first step on a slope, the prosthetic foot identifies the new situation. The prosthetic foot
adapts to the slope angle during the subsequent steps. This is intended to result in the same gait
feel as walking on level ground.
With the first step on level ground after a slope, the prosthetic foot readjusts fully to walking on
level ground. INFORMATION: The prosthetic foot is still adapted to the slope until step
ping down. Especially when walking down slopes, pay attention to the reduced ground
clearance.
Walking on stairs
When walking up stairs, the prosthetic foot sets slight dorsiflexion to make rollover easier.
Relief function
The relief function makes it possible for the sole of the prosthetic foot to sink to the floor (for
instance when sitting with the prosthetic foot stretched forward or backward, or when standing on
slopes). This ensures a natural foot position. As soon as a load is put on the prosthetic foot, it
only permits returning to the last set position.
For further information, see the section "Relief function" (see Page 29).
Changing shoes (setting the heel height)
The user can set the heel height after changing shoes. The adjustment range is 0 cm to 5 cm.
Further information is found in the section "Setting the heel height" (see Page 28).

WARNING
Using an unapproved battery charger
Risk of severe injuries due to electric shock
Only use the supplied battery charger.
CAUTION
Using the prosthesis during the charging process
Fall due to connected charging cable
Take the prosthesis off before charging the battery.
Disconnect the prosthesis from the battery charger before putting it on.
INFORMATION
The battery is not fully charged upon delivery. The battery must be charged before the product is
used for the first time.
INFORMATION
If the battery is fully charged, the battery life during normal use is up to 72 h.
Ottobock recommends charging the battery every 48 h.
The charging process takes 2 to 4 h. It can only be performed within the prescribed charging
temperature range.
If an error occurs during the charging process (e.g. due to overheating), the LED at the back of
the ankle unit lights up red.
During the charging process, all functions of the prosthetic foot are deactivated. The Bluetooth
connection remains active.
