Commissioning and Operation
Bit 1 = 1: A check is done once to see which solenoids are
W
available when the system is switched on. This information is
transferred to the controller via a diagnostic message. This
message can be compared with a stored system configuration
in the controller. (This function is only supported with
Profibus DP, the diagnostic data is cyclically transferred in
other field bus systems.)
Missing solenoids can be determined when the system is
switched on. In cyclical operation, diagnostic messages are
only sent if there have been any changes. "Off load" is reported
immediately and the valve does not have to be controlled.
Bit 3 = 0: If the DDL malfunctions, the output data in the valve
W
system will be set to 0.
Bit 3 = 1: If the DDL malfunctions, the output data in the valve
W
system will be stored and the solenoids will continue to be
controlled (freeze values).
Changed parameters only become effective when the
device is switched off and then on again or if it is initialized.

Commissioning the bus coupler

Before commissioning the system, the following steps must
have been carried out and completed:
You have assembled the valve terminals and the bus
W
coupler (see "Assembling the valve system with the bus
coupler" on page 57).
You have connected the bus coupler (see "Connecting the
W
bus coupler electrically" on page 59).
You have made presettings and configured the system
W
(see "Making presettings" on page 63).
You have configured the bus master so that it actuates the
W
valves correctly.
Commissioning may only be carried out by qualified
electrical or pneumatic personnel or an instructed person
under the direction and supervision of qualified personnel
(see "Personnel qualifications" on page 51).
