Commissioning and Operation
No DDL communication
Diagnostic data of the VS
Within the DDL line, each DDL participant's plug connection and
each increase in cable length lower the voltage. The bus coupler
works with an operating voltage of 24 V DC and has been
designed for the following tolerance ranges:

Possible causes for a display of missing DDL communication are:
Baud rate set for the bus coupler is not the same.
W
There are gaps in the addressing.
W
The same address was assigned to 2 modules.
W
Address 0 and 1 to 14 have been assigned simultaneously.
W
The configuration was changed during operation.
W
The configuration of the inserted modules is incorrect.
W
Problem with the internal data communication
W
(e.g. defective modules).

Software diagnosis

The software in the controller monitors the connected VS. To do
this, the bus coupler transfers the diagnostic data to the
superior bus coupler and provides it to the controller.
The diagnostic data of the valve system is located in the
diagnostic data section in accordance with the DDL address. If
the address 0 (automatic addressing) is set, the VS will act like
a valve unit.
The length of the diagnosis area is 1 byte plus the set output
data length in bytes (see "Setting the output data length for
valves" on page 66).
