The Web Interface allows to access the OTU-8000 to view the local
alarm history and possibly carry out additional measurements.
Click on Alarm Monitor on the left menu to display the list of alarms
detected by the OTU-8000 and not sent to the ONMSi.

3 types of alarms are available:
– Unit: problem encountered with one of the OTU-8000 components
– Tested Fiber: alarms detected on the fiber
– Com: communication failures
Alarms offer different levels of severity:
NOTE
In the Alarm Monitor page, the different levels of severity are always
displayed at the bottom of the page.

Filters

By defaults, all alarm categories with all levels of severity are displayed.
To shorten the alarms list, you may apply filters.
Uncheck Unit, Tested Fiber and/or Com in the filters area if you wish to
filter alarms according to their type.
Select the minimum level of severity
alarms according to their severity level.
You may see at all times which filter you applied by looking at the filters
area.
1.All alarms with a equal or higher severity level are displayed. For example: if Major is clicked,
both major and critical alarms are displayed.
