Configuring the Remote Optical Switch
1 Follow the same instructions as for an OTU-8000, to configure the
network information (see
2 Once you have the IP address for the Remote Switch, open the web
browser and type the IP address: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
(where xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address)
3 In the Configuration menu, click on Ethernet tab and check infor-
mation, and if necessary modify it.
4 Click on A
to validate.

5 Click on Admin, on the left menu.

Settings
tab
In the OTU Type parameter, select Remote Switch in the list.

7 Click on A
to validate the Remote Switch configuration.

Adding a Remote Optical Switch to the OTU-8000
1 In the Configuration menu of the OTU Web Interface, click on the
Remote Switch tab.
The page displays, if exists, the Remote Switch(es) that are already
linked to the OTU-8000.
2 In the Add Remote Switch box, enter the IP address or
name
of the Optical Remote Switch to be added.

3 Press N
EW
4 Click on OK in the Confirm switch modification... dialog box.
Once the process is completed, the Remote Switch with its IP
address or its name, is displayed on the Registered field.
