Connecting the Launch Fiber
1 Set the Launch Fiber module into the rack, at the height wished
2 While one person is maintaining the module in position, the other
one screws it onto the rack.
You must use one launch fiber for each OTDR. In case you have two
Module OTDRs, we recommend you to use the JDSU Launch Fiber Module
housing two launch fibers.
You must connect the Launch Fiber Module between the OTDR(s) and
the optical switch(es).

from the OTAU or OSX8000.

1 Disconnect the jumper between the C1/C2/Common port of the
OTAU/OSX8000 and the OTDR
2 Connect one end of the Launch Fiber Module to the OTDR
3 Connect the other end of the Launch Fiber Module to the C1/C2/
Common port of the OTAU/OSX8000 you disconnected in step1.

In case two OTDRs are used, the Launch Fiber Module is composed of
2 launch fibers (one on the left, one on the right) and offers 4 ends.
These ends are labeled L1 (left 1), L2 (Left 2), R1 (Right 1) and R2
(Right 2).
Make sure you use matching ends for each couple OTDR - OTAU/
OSX8000 (For example, use L1 and L2).
