Procedure for switching on
and off the OTU-8000
NOTE
The OTU-8000 cover panel clearly states the place of each wire to
connect above the male connector.
The OTU-8000 is equipped with a male ground connector. You need a
female clip (large: 6.3 mm / width: 0.8 mm), which will be set onto the
Male Ground connector, as described in the photo below.

The OTU is delivered with 2 ferrites to set onto the 48V supply cable:
1 Open the ferrite
2 Make 1 turn of the cables around the ferrite
3 Close the ferrite
4 Repeat the process for the second ferrite if another supply cable is
used.

As the OTU-8000 has been designed to function permanently, no
switch on and switch off buttons are offered. Nevertheless, a specific
procedure is required if you really need to switch on or off the OTU-
8000.
Switching on the OTU-8000
1 Plug the 5-pin connector.
2 Wait that the led Stand-by indicates that the switching on procedure
is completed, (about 3 min.) (see
Switching off the OTU-8000
1 Keep pressing on the button Off for about 3 seconds to place the
OTU-8000 in Stand-by
2 Wait that the led Stand-by indicates that the switching off procedure
is completed, (about 30 seconds). For LEDs description, see

3 Unplug the 5-pin connector.
