Foreword

Dear Installer,
The appliance is accompanied by two manuals:
the Installation Manual and the User Manual.
The Installation Manual provides you with all the informa-
tion you need in order to install the appliance so that it
functions properly and safely. The present manual focuses
on the installation of the appliance and draws your atten-
tion to the rules and regulations applicable to the same.
You will also fi nd technical data concerning the equipment
along with information about maintenance and faults that
may arise, and the possible cause of the same. It is impor-
tant that you read this Installation Manual carefully
and follow it before you install the appliance or
perform service operations!
The following warning indications appear at various places
in the manual, and provide important information.

1. Introduction

The appliance is delivered in combination with a block set.
The fl ame effect of this decorative fi replace can operate
with or without heating.
The heating system may be operated at two levels, namely
750 Watts or 1500 Watts
The energy consumption required for creating the fl ame
image is especially low (around 20 Watts).
This DRU appliance is designed to be installed in a chimney
breast or a fi replace.

2. CE Declaration

We hereby declare that the design, method of construc-
tion and the version of the electrical decorative fi replace
mentioned below, brought by us into the market, satisfi es
the basic health and safety requirements laid down in the
applicable EU Directives.
This Declaration will not be valid if modifi cations are made
to the appliance without the consent of DRU.

before commencing installation or maintenance
operations.
- Please follow the generally applicable rules and
regulations and the preventive measures/safety
instructions contained in this manual.

Regulations

Install the appliance in accordance with the national, local
and architectural (installation) regulations.
3.3 Preventive Measures / Safety Instructions
during Installation
Carefully follow the Preventive Measures / Safety Instructi-
ons listed below:
We recommend that the appliance should be installed
by a recognised installer in accordance with applicable
regulations.
Self tapping screws protrude from the underside and
rear of the appliance, which may cause injury. Please bear
this in mind when lifting and moving the appliance.
There is an inclined, protruding mounting on the top of
the rear of the appliance, which may cause injury. Please
bear this in mind when lifting and moving the appliance.
