- minimum internal breadth: 800 mm.
- minimum internal depth: 270 mm (a greater depth is
desirable, but not required).
Take due account of the fi tting dimensions (see fi gure 5):
- breadth of the installation opening: 600 mm.
- height of the installation opening: 595 mm.
Recommended height of the underside of the construc-
tion opening in relation to the ground fl oor: a minimum
of 100 mm and a maximum of 1000 mm. The fl ame
image will be at its best if you position the underside
of this construction opening within this range. It is not
permitted for the appliance to be installed at a height
of over 1800 mm!

ATTENTION! If a decorative fi replace is to be in-
stalled in front of the chimney breast, then the con-
struction height will be determined by the fi replace.
You must then adhere to this measurement!
Do not plaster-over the fl anges (fi tting frame), since:
- the heat from the appliance may cause cracks.
- it will no longer be possible to remove/install the glass
sheet.
- the plaster may damage the paint of the appliance.
Where plastering is done, dry-out the chimney breast
for at least 6 weeks before using the heating element, in
order to ensure that cracks are prevented.

7. Installing and removing the front glass sheet

While installing and removing the glass sheet, ensure that
the appliance and the glass sheet are not damaged!
Ensure that the heating element is disconnected prior to
removing the pane (see paragraph 6.3).

7.1 Removal of glass pane

1. Remove the decorative strip on the right hand side of
the appliance (fi gure 6). Remove the decorative strip
on the left hand side in the same way. CAUTION! The
glass pane will become loose as a result of the
removal of the decorative strips. Hold the pane in
place with one hand whilst performing step 2.
2. Remove the air inlet moulding from the appliance
(fi gure 7).

3. Tilt the glass pane slightly forward (fi gure 8). Lift the
pane carefully out of the appliance (take care to avoid
damage to the construction frame!). Set the glass
pane down in a safe place where it cannot be broken.
