>self test
By means of the EElink protocol, PROXIMA will send a command to the
control unit to be checked; this will carry out self-diagnosis and the display
will show a diagnostic message which will indicate whether all the inputs
are in their resting condition, or which of them are active.
7.4) R
EADING ThE STATISTICS
The statistics indicate some of the parameters available for checking the
type of system operation. Some of these statistics are updated automa-
tically, others must be updated during maintenance.
Select menu Statistics using keys "56", and press "ENTER":
>statistics
The display will show menu M14:

select the item which you wish to read or update, using keys "56", and
press "ENTER".
By means of the EElink protocol, PROXIMA will send a command to the
control unit connected; this will send the data and the display will show a
message to indicate the value requested.
Here follows a brief description of the statistics available.
Board version: the display indicates the name and version of the board
connected.
List description: the display shows the description assigned to the system.
This description can be entered or modified at any time, simply by writing
on the line of the display. To memorise the description in the current list,
press <ENTER>.
Number of manoeuvres: the display indicates the number of manoeuvres that
the control unit has carried out since the time of installation.
Maintenance manoeuvres: the display indicates the number of manoe-
uvres intervened since the latest maintenance operation, i.e. any board
configuration operation, including the autotest.
Maintenance date: from the keyboard, you can enter manually the date of
the latest maintenance operation.
Update maintenance: this allows you to update the number of manoeuvres
since the latest maintenance operation, without carrying out any other
operations on the control unit.
Menu M147 "Advanced statistics" contains an additional list of statistics avai-
lable. For their use or programming mode, consult the control unit manual.
7.5) T
RANSFERRING ThE CONTROL uNIT CONFIGuRATION FROM AND FOR ThE INTERNAL
CONTROL uNIT DATABASE
PROXIMA incorporates an internal database which can contain the
complete configurations (parameters, logics and statistics) of 9 different
control units.
Each control unit memorised takes up a list identified with a number from 1 to 9.
Select menu Control Unit List using keys "56", and press "ENTER":
>board lists
The display will show menu M15:

select the function using keys "56", and press "ENTER".
Scroll control units: this allows you to scroll through the locations con-
taining the control units memorised. Press "ENTER" to select the control
unit on which you intend to operate. Press ESC to exit the menu without
modifying the location currently selected.
Change list: in alternative to the previous menu, it is possible to specify
directly the number of the location where you intend to operate.
Read control unit: reads all the data of a control unit and writes them in
the current list. In the case where the current list contains data, they will
be overwritten.
Write control unit: writes the data of the current list in the control unit
connected, overwriting the pre-existing data.
Write default: returns the configuration of the control unit connected to
the factory settings.

8) RADIO TRANSMITTER MANAGEMENT
The menu for radio transmitters of the PROXIMA device is used to manage
all the functions of the INTRIC/CLONIX/RTD type receivers.
Here are some of the main functions:
1) Preparation of the receiver lists (database) before carrying out installa-
tion on the site. This allows you to save considerable time, to program
several jobs (uploading as many different lists) and to check the data
present in the systems at the time of maintenance.
2) In the case where a receiver needs to be replaced, you can read the
full list and write the data in the replacement receiver.
This way, you avoid having to enter manually all the transmitters already
memorised.
3) The lists can be managed by the EEdbase software, which allows you to
file, modify and reuse them even at a later time. It also makes it easier
to manage the lists with several transmitters.
4) The CLONIX series receivers are provided with a number of advanced
functions: by means of the PROXIMA programmer, you can create
transmitter clones, and by means of the receiver code you can create
common receivers. Make reference to the "Guide to Clonix programming"
for further information.
5) Management of RTD receivers, whereby each transmitter is associated
with an index which makes management easier.
The maximum number of lists which can be memorised is indicated in
the following table:
N. transmitters to be memorised
16
32
64
128
256
512
2048
The number of blocks which can be used is 220, therefore it is possible
to memorise any combination of 19 lists, as long as the sum of the blocks
taken up does not exceed the limit indicated.
Connection of receivers to the PROXIMA programmer
The receivers can be:
Incorporated in the control unit: in this case, connect the programmer
to the control panel, using the UNIFLAT multipolar cable and, if necessary,
the UNIDA accessory, as specified in the control unit instruction manual.
External or plugged in: the external receivers can be connected using
the UNIFLAT multipolar cable and the UNIDA accessory.
The RTD receivers do not require the UNIDA accessory.
Consult the specific instructions for further information.
Connection of the transmitters to the PROXIMA programmer
Depending on the type of the transmitter, use the UNIFLAT multipolar
cable and the appropriate accessory (UNIMITTO or UNITRC) to connect
the transmitters, making reference to Fig.3.
