NOTICE: Damage to the unit
● During the build phase, damage to unit
caused by contamination of the ventila-
tion unit.
 Ventilation unit operation is not permit-
ted during the build phase.
● Grease and oil vapours from range
hoods may contaminate the ventilation
unit and reduce efficiency.
 The unit should not be used with range
hoods in exhaust air operation. Recommen-
dation: In terms of energy consumption, use
range hoods in circulating air mode.
● The ventilation units are only suited to
supply air rooms.
 Do not install ventilation units in bath-
rooms, kitchens, WCs or similar rooms.

4 Safety instructions

Read and observe the safety instructions.
Allow your specialist installer to explain how
to use the ventilation unit and control units.

cal, sensory or mental capabili-
ties or a lack of knowledge.
 Ventilation unit may only
be installed, commissioned,
cleaned and maintained by
people who can safely recog-
nise and avoid the risks associ-
ated with this work.

DANGER
Risk to health if filters are not replaced
or if there are no air filters.
Heavily contaminated or damp air filters may
collect substances hazardous to health
(mould, germs etc.). This may also happen
if the ventilation unit is not used for an
extended period. If there are no air filters,
the ventilation unit becomes dirty. Unfiltered
substances may enter the rooms.
 Never operate ventilation unit without air
filters.
 Only use original filters.
 Recommendation: continuous operation.
 Observe filter change display. Clean air
filter every 2 to 3 months (e.g. with a vacuum
cleaner) and replace after 6 months (approx.
4,000 operating hours) at the latest.
 If ventilation unit has not be used for a
long time, always replace the air filters.

CAUTION
Risk to health if ventilation unit is not
correctly cleaned.
 Clean the ventilation unit regularly, at
least every 2 years. This is the only way of
ensuring that the ventilation unit is running
hygienically.

WARNING
Danger of injury/damage to unit if the
drawer unit (3 kg) falls out during
removal (mounting/removal/cleaning/
maintenance).
 Sometimes the drawer unit is hard to pull
out/slide in. Ensure that they are always
securely supported and that there is not
anyone under the unit.
 When removing and installing the drawer
unit, support it from below with a hand.
