turn rotary knob [4] all the way to the right.

3 Important notes

3.1 Explanation of the warnings

The warnings provided, indicate hazardous
situations which, if not avoided will result in
death or serious injury in the case of DANGER
or could result in death or serious injury in the
case of WARNING.
CAUTION indicates dangerous situations,
that can lead to minor or moderate physical
injury if not avoided. NOTICE indicates poten-
tial damage to the product or its surroundings.

3.2 Intended use

PP 45 ventilation units with heat recovery are
used for air extraction and ventilation of apart-
ments, offices and similar rooms. They are
suitable for new builds and also for renovation
work.
PP 45 units are available in the following
models: "O" for object, "K" for comfort and
"RC" for radio-controlled. The ventilation units
are installed in outdoor walls and connect-
ed to a permanent electrical installation.
To achieve efficient ventilation, we would
recommend operating the units in pairs with
alternating ventilation and air extraction.
The units are operated using an RLS../DS..
room air control suitable for the type:
● PP 45 O / PP 45 K units are operated with
an RLS 45 O or RLS 45 K control.
● PP 45 RC units are operated using a DS 45
RC radio switch (alternatively with RLS 45 K
+ radio extension module PP 45 EO).

PP 45 ventilation units are only intended for
domestic use and similar purposes. No other
or additional use is intended.

3.3 Non-intended use

The ventilation unit must not be used in
the following situations under any circum-
stances. Read all the safety instructions.

Risk of combustion/fire from flam-

mable materials, liquids or gases in the
vicinity of the ventilation unit.
 Do not place any flammable materials, liq-
uids or gases near the ventilation unit, which
may ignite in the event of heat or sparks and
catch fire.
Risk of death if an air-ventilated fire-

place is connected to an exhaust gas
system, which itself has multiple connec-
tions. The air-ventilated fireplace may result
in exhaust fumes being transferred to other
living units. Risk of death, for example from
carbon monoxide.
 Never use ventilation unit if there are
air-ventilated fireplaces in the living unit
that are connected to exhaust gas systems,
which themselves have multiple connections.
Risk of explosion: Explosive gases and

dusts may ignite and cause serious explo-
sions or fire.
 Never use ventilation unit in an explosive
atmosphere.
! WARNING
Risk to health from chemicals or aggres-
sive gases/vapours.
Chemicals or aggressive gases/vapours may
harm health, especially if they are distributed
throughout the rooms by the ventilation unit.
 Never use ventilation unit to convey
chemicals or aggressive gases/vapours.
