MAINTENANCE AND CARE

• The screen surface must be cleaned with a soft, dry
cleaning cloth (e.g. microfiber cloth).
• If however, there is more dirt, the screen surface
can be cleaned with a very lightly moistened soft
cloth. Never splash cleaning liquid on the screen
surface! If cleaning liquid penetrates the screen
frame, the components will be irreparably
damaged.
FIRMWARE UPDATE
The flash unit firmware version (in the example V1.0)
is displayed on the start screen after the unit is
switched on.
The flash unit firmware can be updated via the USB
firmware update socket
8
and, as far as technically
possible, adapted to the functions of future cameras.
You will find more information on the Leica website:
www.leica-camera.com

FORMATION OF THE FLASH CAPACITOR

The flash capacitor integrated in the flash unit
undergoes a physical change if the unit is not
switched on for a prolonged period. For this reason, it
is necessary to switch the unit on for approx. 10
minutes every three months. The power sources must
supply enough energy to ensure that the flash ready
light lights up 1 minute after switching on at the
latest.
