SPECIAL FUNCTIONS

Depending on camera type, the following special
functions are available.
There must have been a data exchange between the
flash unit and camera for the special functions to be
accessed, e.g. by touching the camera shutter
release.
The setting must be made immediately after
accessing the special function since the flash unit
otherwise returns to normal flash mode after a few
seconds.
MOTOR ZOOM REFLECTOR ("ZOOM")
The flash unit's motor zoom reflector can light up lens
focal lengths of over 24mm. The illumination extends
to 12mm by using the integrated wide-angle diffusion
head
Note:
All of the focal lengths listed in this manual refer to
35mm format (24x36mm). When using other formats,
the values listed here must be converted to determine
the focal lengths that would be valid with them.
Please refer to the relevant camera manual for further
details.

Automatic zoom control

If the flash unit is being operated with a camera that
transmits data of the lens focal length, the zoom
position of the reflector automatically adjusts to the
lens focal length.
• After the flash unit is switched on, the current
zoom position of the reflector is shown in the
display along with .
Zoom
Automatic adjustment is for lens focal lengths of
24mm and more.
There is no automatic adjustment if the reflector is
pivoted or if the wide-angle diffuser head
extended.
Upon request, the position of the reflector can be
adjusted manually to achieve certain lighting effects
(e.g. spot effects, etc.).
Manual zoom mood
In the case of cameras that do not transfer any lens
focal length data, the reflector zoom position must be
manually adjusted to the lens focal length. Auto zoom
mode is not possible in this case!
