CHAPTER 10 - CHECKS BEFORE IGNITION
Carefully read the engine instruction manual, which you will find attached to this machine manual, but in any case:
Check the engine oil level, if it is low top it up using protective gloves, possibly cotton-lined nitrile ones; the oil sump contains
approximately 1.5 Kg of oil; we recommend using oil for temperate climates such as AGIP SIGMA (HD SERIES 3 MIL - L - 2104 - C API
- CD).
Refuel the engine with diesel or petrol with the engine switched off and cold.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
KEEP FUEL OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN, IN A DRY AND VENTILATED PLACE, WITHOUT SOURCES OF HEAT.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
IMPORTANT: The diesel/petrol container must be of a suitable type and must be clean; this will ensure that the diesel filter and engine
last a long time; use a container whose fuel capacity can be used up in 2 / 3 months in order to always have new fuel.
CHAPTER 11 – IGNITION AND STOP

BEFORE PROCEEDING IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE READ ALL OF THE PREVIOUS CHAPTERS.

N.B.: The machine must be started while sitting in the driver's seat; if the operator is not sitting down or stands up after start-up, the
machine switches off. The machine is designed so that it will not start with the engine hood open.
IGNITION:
It is recommended to start the machine with the central broom raised.
Release the brake if it is engaged Detail 3 Fig. 7;
Move the accelerator lever Detail 14 Fig. 8 to the MAX position;
Turn the ignition key anticlockwise Detail 12 Fig. 8 onto the first notch until the spark plug pre-heating indicator light switches on
Detail 5 Fig. 8;
Wait for the light to switch off Detail 5 Fig. 8 and start the machine by turning the ignition key clockwise again;
After start-up, gradually move the accelerator lever Detail 14 Fig. 8 to one third of its stroke. It is recommended to let the engine
warm up for a few minutes before starting work.
Lower the central broom and possibly the side brooms, adjusting the revolutions.
FORWARD DRIVE:
Using your foot, gradually press the front part of the pedal (fly press) Detail 2 Fig. 7. To reach the maximum travel speed, raise the
number of engine revolutions to maximum and press the forward pedal all the way.
To stop simply release the pedal.
REVERSE:
Using your foot, gradually press the rear part of the pedal Detail 2 Fig. 7. For safety reasons, the reverse speed is much slower.
To stop, simply release the pedal.
NEUTRAL:
Put the machine into neutral by leaving the fly press in the rest position Detail 2Fig. 7.

ENGINE STOP:

Move the accelerator lever Detail 4 Fig. 8 to lower the revolutions to minimum and turn the key Detail 1 Fig. 8 anticlockwise.
