Preparation

PLEASE NOTE
Do not operate the device without water. If this does happen, the heating element
of the device switches off automatically (dry-running protection). In this case, allow
the device to cool down for around 5 – 10 minutes before water is poured in and
the device is used again.
If water needs to be added, switch off the device, pull the mains plug out of the plug
socket and allow the device to cool down for a few minutes. When opening the lid (1),
use potholders or similar gloves and be careful.

Boiling Water

1. Pour water into the kettle (3) (see the "Operation" chapter | "Filling the Kettle").
2. Place on the lid (1) (see the "Operation" chapter | "Removing / Attaching the Lid").
3. Press the 100°C button (13). The control lamp in the button lights up.
4. Press the On / Off button (11). The control lamp in the button lights up, the device starts
the heating process. During heating, the control lamp in the 100°C button fl ashes.
5. As soon as the water has been heated to 100°C, you will hear 3 x 2 short beeps and the
device automatically switches to stand-by mode. The control lamp in the On / Off button
goes out, the control lamp in the 100°C button goes out after around 1 minute if no other
function has been selected.
6. Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket and allow the device to cool down before it is
cleaned and / or stored away (see the "Cleaning and Care" chapter).

Heating Water

If water is just to be heated to a specifi c temperature, the water should be boiled once
(see the "Preparation" chapter | "Boiling Water"). As soon as it has boiled, allow it to
cool slightly.
1. Pour water into the kettle (3) (see the "Operation" chapter | "Filling the Kettle").
2. Place on the lid (1) (see the "Operation" chapter | "Removing / Attaching the Lid").
3. Press the button with the temperature you want (see the "Operation" chapter |
"Temperature Buttons"). The control lamp in the corresponding button lights up.
4. Press the On / Off button (11). The control lamp in the button lights up, the device starts
the heating process. During heating, the control lamp in the chosen temperature button
(90°C, 80°C, 70°C) fl ashes.
5. As soon as the water has been heated to the selected temperature, you will hear 3 x 2
short beeps and the device automatically switches to stand-by mode. The control lamp in
the On / Off button goes out, the control lamp in the chosen temperature button goes out
after around 1 minute if no other function has been selected.
6. Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket and allow the device to cool down before it is
cleaned and / or stored away (see the "Cleaning and Care" chapter).
