Operation
Operating Buttons
On / Off Button
The device can be switched on and off using the On / Off button (11). The control lamp in the
button lights up as soon as the device is switched on.
Keep Warm Button
The keep-warm function can be switched on using the keep warm button (12). The control
lamp in the button lights up as soon as the function has been switched on.
Temperature Buttons
The temperature buttons (13 – 16) are used to set the temperature of the water. The following
settings can be selected:
70°C
ideal for very delicate types of tea (white or green tea)
80°C
ideal for oolong tea
90°C
ideal for fruit tea
100°C
ideal for black tea, herbal tea / boiling water
Removing / Attaching the Lid
1. Hold the lid (1) by the lid handle (2) (Picture A) and pull it upwards. At the same time, the
tea strainer (6) and tea strainer holder (7) is pulled out of the kettle.
If the device was in operation, use potholders or similar gloves as the lid handle may be
hot and hot water may drip from the tea strainer. Always allow the device to cool down
before using it again.
2. To close the device, place the lid back on the kettle. When you do this, make sure that it fi ts
correctly and is heard to engage.
Filling the Kettle
Only ever fi ll the kettle (3) with fresh, clear tap water. Do not pour in any other liquids.
1. Open the lid (1) (see the "Operation" chapter | "Removing / Attaching the Lid").
2. Pour the desired quantity of water (maximum 1.7 litres) into the kettle. Note the MIN (5)
and MAX marking (8).
3. Close the lid (see the "Operation" chapter | "Removing / Attaching the Lid").
