● Visually inspect the mowing blade,
blade fastening and mowing deck for
damage (notches, cracks, fractures,
etc.) and wear. (
16.3)

Annual maintenance operations:
● STIHL recommends an annual
inspection by a STIHL specialist dealer
during the winter months.
Here, maintenance of the battery,
electronics and software in particular is
performed.
In order for your specialist dealer to
perform all the maintenance
operations correctly, set the safety
level to "None" or give your
specialist dealer the appropriate
PIN code.

16.2 Cleaning the machine

Treating the machine carefully will protect
it against damage and extend its service
life.

Cleaning and maintenance position:
Place the machine on a firm, level and flat
surface for cleaning the upper side the
machine (hood, remote control). To clean
the underside of the machine (mowing
blade, mowing deck) tilt the robotic mower
onto its left side as illustrated and lean it
against a wall.
● Clean off dirt with a brush or a cloth. In
particular, also clean the mowing blade
and the docking station.
● Detach accumulated clipping deposits
in the housing and in the mowing deck
beforehand using a stick.
● If necessary, use a special cleaner
(e.g. STIHL special cleaner).
● Regularly remove the carrier plate and
remove grass residues. (
The carrier plate must be cleaned
frequently in wet weather. Dirt
deposits between the carrier plate
and the mowing deck housing
creates friction, leading to
increased power consumption.
16.3 Checking the mowing blade wear
limits
Risk of injury!
A worn mowing blade may break off
and cause serious injuries. The
instructions for blade maintenance
must therefore always be observed.
Mowing blades are subject to
differing degrees of wear
depending on the location and
duration of use. If you use the
machine on sandy ground or use it
frequently under dry conditions, the
mowing blade will be subjected to
greater loads and will wear more
quickly than normal.
Replace the mowing blade at least
every 200 operating hours – do not
resharpen. (
● Activate the disabling device. (
● Tilt the robotic mower onto its side and
lean it securely against a stable wall.
Carefully clean the mowing deck and
mowing blade. (
