SECTION II: INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
II.4.2
LIFTING AND HANDLING
DANGER!
Movement of the unit should be performed with
care, in order to avoid damage to the external
structure and to the internal mechanical and
electrical components.
Also make sure that there are no obstacles or
people blocking the route, to avoid the danger of
collision or crushing. Make sure that there is no
possibility of the lifting-gear overturning.
The unit is supplied on a wooden support structure. This structure
serves to facilitate unit transport using a forklift or a hand truck. Use this
method to transport the unit to the installation position.
On arrival at the final installation site, remove the wooden substructure
(unscrew the 4 screws). Pass the straps through the slots in the base of
the unit, having first checked their suitability (as regards their strength
and state of wear and tear). Take the strain on the slings, checking that
they remain properly attached to the lifting-hook; lift the unit a few
centimetres, then, only after checking the stability of the load, slide the
pallet out, taking care not to trap any parts of the body, in order to
eliminate any possible risk of crushing or any other injury if the load
drops or shifts suddenly. Carefully carry the unit to the installation site.
Lower the unit carefully and fix it into place.
